I just bought a new-to-me 1997 Kawasaki Bayou 300 4X4 and replaced the oil filter and cleaned the air filter and changed the oil using autozone's brand 10w-30 oil. I've notice a little slipping if I was to gas it mostly in the high gears. Place the oil pan under here and remove the bolt and the oil will drain out. I recommend running the atv for 5-10 minutes prior to draining to let the oil warm up. It will drain better this way. Next, open the oil filter compartment and replace the oil filter. Be sure the old oil filter o-ring is intact.
